What is the value of a week at camp camp? A week in nature, away from city life and screens is a real positive. The mentorship and positive role-modeling of cabin leaders is valuable, especially for 14 year old boys. Spiritual teaching and encouragement in the camp setting is a positive.
I look forward to seeing my own kids work up through the ranks to grow to be more like Jesus as the learn to be servant leaders.
IAWAH makes my son a better person.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and learn not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
The young people who staff this place are wonderful. They are gracious and serious in their service of campers – and also, quite the riot when the occasion calls for it.
Your camp is a ray of hope and a great source of encouragement to hundreds of young people every year.
Your kind and respectful approach with students ensured that they had an experience which they will always treasure.
Serving at camp strengthened my relationship with God. Here, I am able to focus exclusively on servant-hood and becoming more deeply-rooted. I have found a new love for the scriptures this summer and was able to read nearly half the Bible while at camp. My leadership skills have also greatly increased.
I really learned a lot about myself and others by serving in different roles. I enjoyed every minute of camp this summer, and loved working there.
