  • What is provided at the Campground?

    Each Cabin, Tabin and Tent platform has an electrical outlet and basic indoor lighting. Each site is equipped with a fire ring and a picnic table. On check-in there will be one bundle of firewood available. Additional firewood is available for purchase at the office or Tuck Shop. Self-guided recreational options are available. During certain summer weeks IAWAH-provided recreational options and Take-Out food will be offered.
  • What is located in nearby Westport?

    Shopping, churches, restaurants, ice-cream, bakery, grocery and convenience store, Foley Mountain Conservation area, golf-course, hardware store and more.
  • Is there WIFI?

    WIFI is not available near the campsites. There is a free basic WIFI available in designated zones near IAWAH lodge. The WIFI is adequate for checking email or messages, but is not equipped for streaming media or high volume downloads.
  • Is the water in the Campground safe to drink?

    All water available in the campground is treated, tested and safe for consumption or for washing. Your water containers can be refilled outside the wash-house, gym or lower iawah.
  • Are pets allowed in the Campground?

    Friendly, well-behaved pets are welcome. Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 2 meters (six feet) and must be under control at all times. Please clean up after your pets. Pets are not allowed in public buildings, washrooms, beach or activity areas.
  • How late can we arrive for check-ins?

    Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 8:00pm. Campers checking in after 8:00pm should inform the office of their later arrival time.
  • Check out is 11:00am. Can we stay later to enjoy the facility?

    You must be totally packed up, and moved out of your site by 11:00 am. Campers wishing to stay on the site beyond 11:00am on their check-out day must confirm their plans with the office.
  • Can we bring our own boats or recreational equipment?

    Yes, you can bring your own bicycles, canoe, kayak or boat. Please contact the office ahead of time to confirm boat docking or launch arrangements.
  • What is available at the tuck shop?

    The Tuck Shop has cold drinks, chips, candy, ice-cream novelties, souvenirs and IAWAH clothing. Firewood and Ice are also available for purchase.

  • Does the camp provide a lifeguard?

    Swimming and beach use is at your own risk, as there are no lifeguards on duty. During certain summer weeks, IAWAH lifeguards will open “the Blob” daily for jumping times, weather permitting.
