Please note that IAWAH is continuing to move forward in a safe way, based on Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen. For summer 2022, we are offering, Summer Camps, Campground and Youth Development Programs to guests.
Below you’ll find responses to several Frequently Asked Questions. As you know, circumstances continue to evolve, and we will do our best to provide you with new information as it becomes available
The overall safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff team is extremely important. IAWAH will continue to promote guest safety through enhanced cleaning routines, increased hand-washing protocols and by strictly following the guidance of the local health authorities. IAWAH works closely with our local public health to implement and follow operating protocols and recommendations for camps. Unless guidelines change, for spring and and summer 2022, IAWAH does not require Rapid Antigen Testing upon arrival, or proof of vaccination for campers and guests. All staff will be routinely tested throughout the spring and summer and will constantly self-monitor for any symptoms of COVID-19.
We will not be testing upon arrival, but strongly encourage each camper to take a Rapid Antigen Test before coming to camp. These can be obtained for free from several locations such as your local pharmacy.
Although we strongly suggest that all eligible children be vaccinated, Camp IAWAH will not require campers to be fully vaccinated to participate in its programs. We also don’t require campers to disclose their vaccination status.
Although we could never guarantee that IAWAH will be Covid free, together we can do our part to mitigate the spread. Thank you for your cooperation.
The leadership team of IAWAH, in close correspondence with the Board of Directors, continues to monitor the situation closely. We are following the guidance from the Provincial and local health authorities (South Frontenac Township and KFL&A Health Unit), Ministry of Labour, and the Ontario Camps Association. The safety of all our guests and staff team is our top priority.

As best as possible, please avoid large indoor gatherings to minimize the risk of exposure for at least 5 days before arrival to camp. We don’t expect complete isolation, but monitoring activity will be helpful.
Please continue to monitor for any symptoms of Covid before arrival and follow through with a PCR test is necessary.
