High Ropes, Higher Impact

Building Autonomy, Resilience, and Healthy Communities in Youth Through Challenge

Help us Reach New Heights!

At Camp IAWAH, we believe that growth happens when you’re challenged to step out of your comfort zone. Our new Challenge Course is designed to foster trust, teamwork, and leadership—helping campers, youth, and corporate teams reach new heights, together.

We’ve already raised $165,000 toward our goal of $275,000, but we need your help to raise the remaining $110,000 by Dec 31, 2024. Your donation will directly impact the lives of future leaders and give your team an unforgettable experience.

How can you Help?

  • Donate $1,000 or more and be entered into a draw for a private High Ropes experience for 10 guests, including a meal at IAWAH. (details in FAQ)

  • Donate any amount: Every donation makes a difference! All donors receive an invitation to our High Ropes Opening Celebration. More details to come.

Join us in creating life-changing experiences that will challenge, inspire, and equip the next generation of leaders.

Thrilling Return

IAWAH's High Ropes Challenge Course and Giant Swing are Coming Back with Exciting New Features!

We are partnering with AdventureWorks Associates Inc. to bring you a course that will suit a variety of camp’s needs. It will include a three-sided climbing wall, an adventure park tier geared toward our summer camp programs, and a team-focused tier where groups will have to work together to get across each activity.

Also included is a Flying Squirrel, where participants choose how high they go and swing, as well as a Vertical Playpen that allows a small group to climb up various challenges together.  We’ll also be bringing back a Giant Swing to challenge and thrill.

Join us as we take IAWAH’s adventure programs to new heights.

FAQ's

We’re planning to have the posts installed late fall 2024. Over the winter, Adventure Works will build many of the elements in their shop. During late winter to early spring, the elements will be installed onto the poles. Staff training and course opening will follow.

Construction will happen in three phases:
1. High ropes elements – Ready for summer 2025
2. Climbing tower – Ready for summer 2026
3. The Giant Swing – Ready for summer 2027

After much review of the IAWAH grounds and discussion with our builders (Adventure Works), the decision has been made to install the new high ropes course on the grassy hill to the northwest of the canoeing area. This location will allow for easy access for guests,  great views over Wolfe Lake,  and further opportunities for expansion.

We’ve selected a builder and are anticipating that poles will be installed before the new year.
The installation will happen in three phases over subsequent years.

1. High ropes course including team and individual elements.
2. Outdoor climbing tower.
3. Giant Swing.

Anyone who has donated over $1000 to the Challenge Course Fund (in one donation or cumulatively) will be entered into the draw. The winner will be contacted via email to claim their prize.

The Prize: A 1.5-2 hour challenge course experience for up to 10 people (age 10 & up) and a tasty IAWAH lunch (1 hr).
When can we book the experience? We anticipate a fall opening. However, until we are farther along in the process, we can’t be certain of the timeframe.
