Can someone at IAWAH be reached?
Staff continue to serve safely – in some cases with reduced hours. The main phone line (voice messages) and emails are regularly monitored, with open office hours Tuesday to Friday 9am – 5pm, and we will be in touch with you as soon as we are able. Please note that the IAWAH facility & offices are closed to public access at this time and only available by pre-arranged appointment.
-
Who determines IAWAH’s response to COVID-19
The leadership team of IAWAH, in close correspondence with the Board of Directors, continues to monitor the situation closely. We are following the guidance from the Provincial and local health authorities (South Frontenac Township and KFL&A Health Unit), Ministry of Labour, and the Ontario Camps Association. The safety of all our guests and staff team is our top priority.

Wondering how you can help IAWAH?
Have hope. IAWAH’s passion is to see young people keep on growing and we are presently working on several strategic improvements, in order to welcome and serve well – when it is safe to do so.
Be patient. The situation continues to evolve and we will do our best to keep our website current with the latest information.
Be prayerful. Be faithful in prayer for our world, our community and our friends and family members.
Be generous. Have a community mindset, bless and encourage others. Remember those in need and support organizations who serve others – including IAWAH, which has significant costs and revenue losses due to cancellations. -
How long will IAWAH stay closed?
We are hopeful that we can serve modified guest groups in the spring, including day groups from schools as well as proceed with our summer camp season and YDLP. Please contact the office for booking inquiries. IAWAH will work with the KFL&A health unit to determine how and when we will fully re-open its facilities and resume regular programming.
-
Who do I contact with questions about my booking or event?
Please contact our office at 613-273-5621 or registrar@iawah.com
-
If I cancel my event, or it is canceled for me, will I get my deposit back?
Cancelation is not the end of your event. Booking deposits can be kept on-account and carried forward to a future booking date. We can also process a refund, if necessary.

What will Summer 2021 look like?
As members of the Ontario Camping Association, we follow their standards for best practice in all our camp operations and policy. As such, we are currently waiting for their operating guidelines (in cooperation with the ministry of health) for overnight camps during this time of Covid-19. Until such time, we can’t comment on how programs and camp in general will run this summer. We are however planning for several contingencies to make sure we’re ready to provide a safe and memorable experience for all our campers!
- If camp can open, what’s new for 2021?
Summer 2021 registration is OPEN. New programs, such as Girls’ Adventure Camp and some exciting enhancements to our Youth Development Leadership Programs are just a few of the additions you’ll find. We can’t wait for you to join us and see some great new activities and of course experience the same great food, caring staff, and life-long friendships.- What about payment plans?
Families may wish to set up a new payment plan for Summer 2021. You may wish to consider signing up for a second week this summer.
Questions? Please contact Wendy Lynn at registrar@iawah.com- Who do I contact regarding YDLP Programs (RISE, CREW & ROOTs)?
We are passionate about investing in our young leaders. If you have questions regarding leadership training at IAWAH, please contact Ken Vissers leadership@iawah.com for more information.- What healthcare precautions does IAWAH take?
The overall safety of our guests, volunteers and staff team is extremely important. IAWAH will continue to promote guest safety through enhanced cleaning routines, increased hand-washing protocols and by strictly following the guidance of the local health authorities (South Frontenac Township and KFL&A Health Unit). Standards are also being developed by the Ontario Camping Association specific to day and overnight camps. We have a vision to grow deeply-rooted followers of Jesus who are equipped for God’s harvest – Wherever they are planted.
